We search and gather pieces
everywhere we go
sticks and boxes and little trinkets
love and hope and tiny seeds of faith
hurts and hugs
smiles and tears
stories and dreams
pain and pleasure
photos and flowers
we yearn to connect
we stretch for freedom
we open for healing
we seek darkness for sight
and silence for direction
laughter and dancing
fire and water
branches and breath
we are one
we slowly depart
and float away
skimming the earth
when passing by
leaving tiny particles
everywhere we touch
our hearts grow bigger
our soul finds home
we are one
