Discoveries in daily living

There is so much to be grateful for. Because of the urgency of many things we miss living in the moment. I have chosen to say YES to life. Yes to God's purpose for my very existence. This is it, this is all I have, the moment I live right now, not yesterday, not tomorrow. Hello world and hello today, the very place and time My Creator has set me in. It's fascinating to see how many things were missed in the rush of accomplishments and urgencies.

Be the Bean!!

After each of these objects had faced the same adversity: boiling water. Each reacted differently. The carrot went in strong, hard, and unrelenting. However, after being subjected to the boiling water, it softened and became weak. The egg had been fragile. Its thin outer shell had protected its liquid interior, but after sitting through the boiling water, its inside became hardened. The ground coffee beans were unique, however.. After they were in the boiling water, they had changed the water.

"Which are you?" "When adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond? Are you a carrot, an egg, or a coffee bean?"

Think of this: Which am I? Am I the carrot that seems strong, but with pain and adversity do I wilt and become soft and lose my strength?

Am I the egg that starts with a malleable heart, but changes with the heat? Did I have a fluid spirit, but after a death, a breakup, a financial hardship or some other trial, have I become hardened and stiff? Does my shell look the same, but on the inside am I bitter and tough with a stiff spirit and hardened heart?

Or am I like the coffee bean? The bean actually changes the hot water, the very circumstance that brings the pain. When the water gets hot, it releases the fragrance and flavor. If you are like the bean, when things are at their worst, you get better and change the situation around you when the hour is the darkest and trials are their greatest do you elevate yourself to another level?

How do you handle adversity? Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean?

The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way. The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past; you can't go forward in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches.

When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling.

Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.

May we all be COFFEE!!!!!!

Accepting self in Christ

I want very badly to rest and allow God to does his part but I have so much fear (doubt) that this could be real. That I do not have to move beyond the pain and exhaustion to fulfill my responsibilities and duties. His word says I do not have to do what I am not capable of but my mind says I should and I have to, the business exist on this very ideal. My body totally disagrees with my mind and is rebelling, which is causing pain sadness and exhaustion. What if I am making all of this up and sabotages the business or just being lazy and giving up. I am so confused
So thankful that God is a God of second chances...& third, & fourth, & even more chances. He loves u. God's approval is not based on your achievements. It's based soley on the fact that u r His child & He sees the BEST in u. There's nothing u can do, & there's nothing anybody can do, that will ever change your value in God's eyes. But u have to do ur part. Quit over analyzing your faults: stop taking an inventory of everything wrong with you. If you make mistakes, ask for forgiveness & then move on. Don't become overly concerned if you are not changing as quickly as you would like. Stay focused on what you can become, & God will get you to where you need to be! Ephesians 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith...and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God

Willing to make changes (again)

Peace is one of the most precious blessings in life. From a spiritual position, it was Jesus' blood that bought our peace. But from a practical or natural position, the price we pay for peace is a willingness to change our approach to life. We will never enjoy peace without a willingness to adjust & adapt ourselves. We must be willing to sacrifice worry & reasoning if we r to know peace. We cannot have anxiety, frustration or rigid, legalistic attitudes & enjoy the peace of God. Keep your mind & conversation on Jesus...not the problem. Worry is useless, vain, and prideful. It is impossible to remain peaceful and hurry. God in not in a hurry. Be willing and obedient to make the changes the Holy Spirit leads you to make in order to walk in peace. Jesus has provided His peace....enjoy it! John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. (From the book, "Life in the Word")
Lord help me to follow through with the changes you are directing!!

Intention to heal...

Healing is a choice. It’s not an easy one, because it takes work to turn around your habits, but keep making the choice and shifts will happen.

Today, connect with your intention to heal. The more you choose activities and people that support your forward movement, the stronger that part of you will become.

Father, I ask you to support me in this process, through your son Jesus Christ. I ask for mercy and healing for your glory. May I help others overcome by overcoming through you. Continue your work throughout my life. Protect me, keep your hand upon my head and my heart and eyes open.

Inspirationless

Lord, help me to hold on to your promises. Today I am tired and can't seem to complete any task. This happens often, and yet I endure because of You. I know I can't always be glowing in your presence. I know it is best for me to feel this, so that I continue to seek You in all things. Father, surround me in your peace and all enduring love. I work less each week, yet I still tire and feel inadequate. It seems I do more these days but haven't advanced at all. I trust this is Your plan and that you will provide according to your purpose. I beg you to help me. There is much pressure coming my way. It could be coming from me or those who need me. I have no plan in sight yet I know you do. Father protect me from ignorance, selfishness and sloth. Bless me with balance and a divine attitude that only you can provide. I pray for others who struggle as well. Touch them with your blessings tonight. I give up mine for others to have it. I intercede for them to know you the way I do. Thank you Lord for all~ for all that you will, for all that you give, for all that you do.
