After

After soaring high with you Father, I sit lowly, in pain and weak. By your example, teach me Lord. I am so weak and useless without you. I fail in my own power and in success I give you all glory for I am nothing without You. Show me the way to making the best of this situation. You have planted me here, You have cultivated the land, watered me and even weeded my surroundings. Now I am in full bloom through Your nurturing yet my pedals are limp this morning. My roots dig deeper for more of You. Lord, send Your agents of the land to show me what is poisoning me. Until then my roots hold tight and draw more of You, hoping for just a drop of Your water to help lift the weakness.
My soul knows that drought is necessary but my limp body doesn't understand and seeks nourishment from the land or shelter from the heat. It cries out for hydration and shade and protection from the feet that stomp over me. My hope is to become beautiful and strong for encouragement of others. That they may enjoy Your glory, Your favour, and put all hope in You as they draw bits of You from deep in my soul. Lord you have blessed me so, how can I ever thank you. I am so weak, after so much love You have poured on and in me, how can I possibly sit here and complain. I am only sad of the time this suffering takes from doing Your work. My heart desire is to spread You as far as I can reach. To show Your power and sovereign love to those who lack in faith. I can never thank you for all You have done and given but I can strive to serve You with gratitude. I have no strength of my own body but I have faith in the strength You will provide me to do Your Will.
Lord I pray to all the angels and saints who can intervene for me, to ask for their assistance to pray to You the Lord and God of all. Pray for heavenly wisdom and knowledge and understanding of this weak and useless body. Pray for improvement for Your usage. I accept whatever cross you send for the good of all. I only ask for your divine grace and mercy to endure. I owe You everything and only want time in eternity with You. I can only do what You will me to do. You have full and complete control of my soul, You dwell within and direct my thoughts, actions, words. Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Amen
